SOUP’ER BOWL - Why Soup is Dope

Soup often gets sidelined in the world of hearty meals, especially among those who live and breathe the grill. But the Tacticalories crew knows even the burliest grill slayers can appreciate a steaming bowl of hearty soup on a cold day. Let’s dive into our three favorite gamechanger soup recipes.

Oh, and all of these recipes are straight from Wild Willie's personal cookbook- so you know they're good.

 

1. Bushcraft Chicken Soup

For those who crave a touch of the wild, our Bushcraft seasoning brings the great outdoors to your soup bowl.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tbsp Tacticalories Bushcraft Seasoning
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup noodles or rice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Season chicken with Bushcraft and sauté until golden.
  2. In a pot, combine chicken, vegetables, broth, and water.
  3. Bring to a boil, add noodles or rice, and simmer until tender.

 

 

2. Willie's Spicy White Chicken Chili

A creamy, spicy twist on the classic chili that’s perfect for when you’re feeling the winter chill.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken, diced
  • 1 tbsp Bad Hombre Taco Seasoning
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cans white beans, drained
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Green chilies to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Season and brown the chicken in a pot.
  2. Add onion, beans, broth, and chilies. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Stir in corn and cream, heat through.

 

3. Willie's Hearty AF Chicken Noodle Soup

A classic, made even better with Primal SPG seasoning.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs, seasoned with Primal SPG
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Sauté SPG-seasoned chicken thighs until crisp. Chop into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pot, sauté onion, carrots, and celery.
  3. Add broth and chicken, bring to a boil.
  4. Add noodles and cook until tender.
